           Steve Jobs Biography Set for November Release

Simon & Schuster It is not often that technophiles get as excited about a new book as they do about a new gadget. The release of a biography of Steven P. Jobs, Apple’s co-founder, might be one of those rare moments.

“Steve Jobs: A Biography,” written by Walter Isaacson, was originally scheduled for release in March 2012, but Simon & Schuster, the book’s publisher, said Monday that it would now be available on Nov. 21, 2011.

Tracey Guest, director of publicity for Simon & Schuster, said in a phone interview that the release date for the biography had been pushed up by several months because “the book is now ready.” Ms. Guest did not elaborate further.
